Volleyball Recap: Lake Washington Kangaroos vs. Eastlake Wolves

After flying high against North Creek last Saturday, Lake Washington came back down to earth. The Lake Washington Kangaroos lost 3-0 to the Eastlake Wolves on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Kangaroos in their matchups with the Wolves: they've now lost four in a row.

While Lake Washington was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-22, 25-17.

Despite the loss, Lake Washington saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Alyssa Mcmaster had 12 digs.

Leading Eastlake to victory were Zoe Pound and Renna Chow. Pound had 13 digs, while Chow had three digs and two aces. Pound has been hot , having posted 11 or more digs the last five times she's played.

Lake Washington now has a losing record at 10-11. As for Eastlake, their victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-8.

Lake Washington has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Issaquah on the 7th. As for Eastlake, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Skyline on the 7th.
