Football Recap: Juan Diego Catholic Comes Up Short

If Juan Diego Catholic was feeling good fresh off their 35-6 takedown of Cottonwood last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Soaring Eagle were beaten by the East Leopards 70-27 on Friday. The Soaring Eagle were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Leopards apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2021.

Juan Diego Catholic has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for East, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-5.

Looking ahead, Juan Diego Catholic will challenge Highland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for East, they will host Skyline at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Leopards will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 31 points in their last four matchups.
