Volleyball Recap: Methacton Warriors vs. Upper Merion Area Vikings

Methacton was the 3-2 winner over Upper Merion Area when they last played one another back in September of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Methacton Warriors lost 3-0 to the Upper Merion Area Vikings on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Warriors have suffered against the Vikings since October 7, 2019.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Upper Merion Area scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-17, 25-22.

This is the second loss in a row for Methacton and nudges their season record down to 1-5. As for Upper Merion Area, they pushed their record up to 17-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

While Methacton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
