Baseball Recap: Corner Canyon's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

It was a good run, but Corner Canyon unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 10-7 to the Canyon View Falcons.

Corner Canyon got a good showing from Bowen Bodily, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Nathan Horstmann was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Drew Whatcott was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Even though they lost, Corner Canyon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Corner Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Canyon View, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

Looking ahead, Corner Canyon will face off against Tooele at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. We've got a battle between Falcons coming up. Canyon View is facing Clearfield at the right time seeing as Clearfield is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
