Windsor came tearing into Friday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Maria Carrillo Pumas. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Jaguars have posted against the Pumas since May 3, 2022.

Kaihla Jarvinen spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on seven hits.

At the plate, Windsor's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Haley Homan, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Windsor's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Maria Carrillo, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season.
