Baseball Game Preview: Vallivue Falcons vs. Meridian Warriors

The Vallivue Falcons will face off against the Meridian Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Vallivue is headed out to face Meridian after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. Vallivue never let Meridian get on the board and left with a 13-0 win on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won four in a row.

Clay Cope was a standout: he scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Colt Augustus, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3.

Vallivue always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .586. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Meridian only posted an OBP of .211.

Vallivue took their win against Meridian when the teams last played on Wednesday by a conclusive 13-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Vallivue since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
