The Davie War Eagles will take on the Glenn Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Davie sitting on four straight victories and Glenn on three.
On Thursday, Davie made easy work of R.J. Reynolds and carried off a 15-1 win. Considering the War Eagles have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Colin Harrison looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, Coy James was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Davie: the team is 10-4 when he posts at least two runs, but 0-8 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Andrew Krause, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one double.
Davie was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. They are 7-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Glenn never let their opponents score on Saturday. They skirted past Northwood 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bobcats have posted since March 19th.
The result came thanks to Logan Stump's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up nine Ks. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Glenn saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Derrick Stevens, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Davie's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-12. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Glenn, they now have a winning record of 11-10.
Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Davie has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .472. However, it's not like Glenn struggles in that department as they've averaged .438. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
