Frankfort won the last time they faced Sparta/Steeleville and things went their way on Friday too. The Redbirds were the clear victors by a 62-41 margin over the Bulldogs. Considering the Redbirds have won five matchups by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Despite the loss, Sparta/Steeleville still got an impressive performance from Dariontez Monroe, who threw for 390 yards and five TDs while completing 80% of his passes. Monroe has become a key player for the Bulldogs: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least three passing touchdowns, but 0-3 otherwise.

The victory made it two in a row for Frankfort and bumps their season record up to 6-3. The team dominated over those games too, winning by an average of 30 points. As for Sparta/Steeleville, they dropped their record down to 4-5 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Frankfort will square off against Roxana at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Sparta/Steeleville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
