Fort Chiswell had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came out on top against the Grayson County Blue Devils by a score of  9-4. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Pioneers also won the last time the pair played  back in May of 2024.
 Blair Jackson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned  (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent  recently: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts any time she's  pitched this season.
 On the hitting side, Fort Chiswell got a big performance out of  Lilly Goforth, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Goforth also  brought in an  RBI, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was  Kayden Walters, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.
 Goforth wasn't the only one working in the  hit department: Fort Chiswell  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 15  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least 11  hits in three consecutive  contests.
Fort Chiswell's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Grayson County, their  defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-3.
 Coincidentally, Fort Chiswell and Grayson County will both be playing Chilhowie the next time they take the field. Fort Chiswell will  host Chilhowie at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday, while Grayson County will head out to face them  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
