Basketball Recap: NFL Yet Academy Comes Up Short

NFL Yet Academy saw some tournament action on Saturday. They were dealt an 88-49 loss at the hands of the Walden Grove Red Wolves. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Walden Grove's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mitchel Collins, who posted 18 points. Another player making a difference was Imileo Martinez, who scored 17 points.

NFL Yet Academy now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Walden Grove, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. NFL Yet Academy will take on Horizon Honors at 5:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Walden Grove, they will be taking part in a tournament against Payson at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. One thing working in Walden Grove's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matches.
