Logan County fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Hart County on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 5-4. The Cougars' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Reese Wetton was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Kalie Taylor, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Logan County's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Hart County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-13.

Looking ahead, Logan County will be playing in front of their home fans against Warren East at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Hart County, they will face off against Larue County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hawks have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season.
