Baseball Recap: Ursuline Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Ursuline was the 6-3 winner over Austintown-Fitch when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Fighting Irish fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 5-3 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Fighting Irish have suffered since April 9th.

Ursuline saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marc DelliQuadri, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Ursuline's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-10. As for Austintown-Fitch, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-14 record.

Looking ahead, Ursuline will look to defend their home field on Thursday against West Branch at 5:00 p.m. The Fighting Irish are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Austintown-Fitch, they will head out to face off against GlenOak at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
