Basketball Preview: Midwest Central Raiders vs. Delavan Panthers
The Midwest Central Raiders are on the road again on Tuesday and plays the Delavan Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th. Midwest Central will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings (they are ranked 713th, while the Panthers are ranked 354th).
Last Friday, Midwest Central was beaten by the Farmers 65-35.
Meanwhile, Delavan earned a 38-28 victory over the Patriots on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Delavan.
Delavan can attribute much of their success to Cole Noreuil, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Zach McLean was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with nine rebounds.
Midwest Central's loss dropped their record down to 3-22. As for Delavan, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-12 record this season.
Midwest Central came up short against the Panthers in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 62-53. Can Midwest Central avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
