Basketball Recap: Patriot Extends Road Winning Streak to Eight

Patriot's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 66-55 victory over the Freedom Eagles. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Pioneers also won the last time the pair played back in February.

Leading Patriot to victory were Ethan Kacou and Jamison Ross. Kacou went 6 for 9 on his way to 13 points and eight rebounds, while Ross posted ten points in addition to six rebounds and three blocks. The dominant performance gave Kacou a new career-high in boards. Another player making a difference was Sean Madrigal, who put up five points and five rebounds.

Patriot's win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.9 points per game. As for Freedom, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Patriot didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 87-83 victory against Landon on the 14th. As for Freedom, they will venture away from home to face off against Gainesville at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
