Softball Recap: Wesleyan Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Wesleyan Christian Academy lost against Cannon back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wesleyan Christian Academy Trojans lost 12-3 to the Cannon Cougars.

Wesleyan Christian Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alexis Emery, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. What's more, Emery posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Mackenzie Smith was another, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Wesleyan Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Cannon, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wesleyan Christian Academy will face off against Charlotte Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cannon, they will take on South Rowan at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
