Basketball Game Preview: Ranchview Wolves vs. Hampton Prep

Ranchview has gone 4-0 against Hampton Prep recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Ranchview Wolves will look to defend their home court against Hampton Prep at 12:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Ranchview's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Hampton Prep has been banged up by nine consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

Last Tuesday, Ranchview came up short against Community and fell 48-37.

The losing side was boosted by Devin Scott, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 11 points and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Raphael Kalala, who posted three points and five steals.

Meanwhile, Hampton Prep took a blow against MacArthur back in December of 2024, falling 88-35.

Ranchview's defeat dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Hampton Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Ranchview took their victory against Hampton Prep when the teams last played back in February of 2016 by a conclusive 56-33. Will Ranchview repeat their success, or does Hampton Prep have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
