Wendover is 8-2 against St. Joseph since December of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. Having just played yesterday, the Wendover Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the St. Joseph Jayhawks at 4:00 p.m. Wendover has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with eight straight defeats, while St. Joseph will come in with three straight victories.

Wendover fought the good fight in their overtime match against Tintic on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Miners by a score of 44-41. While the Wildcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Miners 13-6 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely St. Joseph's strategy against Rowland Hall on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that St. Joseph blew Rowland Hall out of the water with a 51-12 final score. The Jayhawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 32 points or more this season.

St. Joseph's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points per game. As for Wendover, their loss dropped their record down to 1-12.

Everything went Wendover's way against St. Joseph in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, as Wendover made off with a 45-24 victory. Does Wendover have another victory up their sleeve, or will St. Joseph turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
