After losing to Scotland the last time they met, Lumberton decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Pirates came out on top against the Fighting Scots by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pirates.

Lumberton had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-23, 25-17, 25-14.

Lumberton's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Scotland, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.

Coming up, Lumberton will take on Pine Forest at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Scotland, they will square off against Cape Fear at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
