Softball Game Preview: Emmetsburg E'Hawks vs. Sioux Central Rebels

The Emmetsburg E'Hawks will venture away from home to square off against the Sioux Central Rebels at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Emmetsburg will be strutting in after a win while Sioux Central will be coming in after a loss.

Emmetsburg is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on South Central Calhoun with a sharp 19-5 victory on Friday. The E'Hawks have beaten the Titans the last eight times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Titans has come to flipping the script.

Meanwhile, Sioux Central came up short against Gehlen Catholic on Saturday and fell 6-3.

Sioux Central's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Emmetsburg, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-10.

Emmetsburg was able to grind out a solid victory over Sioux Central in their previous meeting back in July of 2024, winning 13-10. The rematch might be a little tougher for the E'Hawks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
