Volleyball Recap: Carnegie Vanguard Comes Up Short on the Road Against Fort Bend Marshall

Carnegie Vanguard kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fort Bend Marshall Buffalos. The Rhinos were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Buffalos apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Carnegie Vanguard was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Fort Bend Marshall work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-16, 22-25, 25-16.

Looking ahead, Carnegie Vanguard will head out on the road to square off against Fort Bend Dulles at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Fort Bend Marshall, they will face off against Alief Elsik at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
