Preview: Irvin Rockets vs. Harmony Science Academy
The Irvin Rockets will head out on the road to take on Harmony Science Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, everything came up roses for Irvin on the road against Patterson Institute as the team secured a 43-14 victory. The win was just what Irvin needed coming off of a 59-22 loss in their prior game.
Meanwhile, Harmony Science Academy had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They snuck past Austin with a 52-48 win on Tuesday.
Carlos Ceballos was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Gael Castillo, who scored 12 points.
Irvin's record is now 9-17. Harmony Science Academy's record is now 11-14.
Irvin was able to grind out a solid victory over Harmony Science Academy when the teams last played back in January, winning 46-39. The rematch might be a little tougher for Irvin since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
