Basketball Game Preview: Wolsey-Wessington Warbirds vs. Kimball/White Lake Wildkats

The Wolsey-Wessington Warbirds are taking a road trip to face off against the Kimball/White Lake Wildkats at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Wolsey-Wessington lost 53-32 to Highmore/Harrold on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Kimball/White Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by Kadoka and fell 57-15. While losing is never fun, the Wildkats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 110th, while the Kougars are ranked 31st).

Wolsey-Wessington's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Kimball/White Lake, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.

Wolsey-Wessington skirted past Kimball/White Lake 42-40 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wolsey-Wessington since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
