Soccer Recap: Berkeley Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Berkeley can now relate to. They lost 5-0 to the Chapin Eagles on Friday. While losing is never fun, Berkeley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 62nd, while Chapin are ranked first).

Berkeley has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season. As for Chapin, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 18-2.

Berkeley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Chapin, they will take on Lucy Beckham at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chapin's defense better be ready for this one: Lucy Beckham have averaged an impressive 3.3 goals per game this season.
