Basketball Recap: Lakeland Regional Comes Up Short

Lakeland Regional was the 47-39 winner over Fair Lawn when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Lakeland Regional Lancers fell 54-43 to the Fair Lawn Cutters on Thursday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Lancers came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 107th, while the Cutters are ranked 265th).

Lakeland Regional has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season. As for Fair Lawn, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lakeland Regional will host Wayne Hills at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fair Lawn, they will take on Wayne Valley at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
