Softball Recap: Frontier Takes a Loss

Frontier had lost eight straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped down to 3-14 to make it nine. They lost 10-0 to the Benton Central Bison. That's two games in a row now that the Falcons have lost by exactly ten runs.

As for Benton Central, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-6. The result was nothing new for the Bison, who have now won seven contests by six runs or more so far this season.

For Benton Central's part, Adalynn Keller was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That home run marked the first that Keller has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Izabella Bauer, who went 2-for-3 with one home run.

Frontier and Benton Central are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Falcons will challenge Clinton Prairie at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Frontier's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Gophers have averaged an impressive 8.7 runs per game this season. As for Benton Central, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Pioneer at 5:30 p.m.
