Basketball Recap: Hagerman's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

Hagerman hadn't done well against Glenns Ferry recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Hagerman Pirates snuck past the Glenns Ferry Pilots with a 61-56 win. With that victory, the Pirates brought their scoring average up to 51.4 points per game.

Hagerman had a senior duo take command as Ky Kendall dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten boards and Martin Gonzalez dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards. Kendall's evening made it nine games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Alex Johnson was another key player, putting up nine points and three steals.

Hagerman was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Hagerman moved to 4-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Glenns Ferry, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.

Hagerman didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-45 loss against Oakley on the 20th. As for Glenns Ferry, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Dietrich at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
