The Trimble County Raiders will take on the Highlands Latin Highlanders at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Highlands Latin took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Trimble County, who comes in off a win.
Trimble County took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 14-1 margin over Newport. That 13 run margin sets a new team best for the Raiders this season.

Jacoby Clark made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. He has become a key player for Trimble County: the team is 3-1 when he allows at most one hit, but 4-14 otherwise. Clark was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
In other batting news, Trimble County got a massive performance out of Dylan Penick, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Nolan Hunt, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.
Trimble County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Newport only posted an OBP of .250.
Meanwhile, Highlands Latin came up short against Atherton on Tuesday, falling 13-2. The Highlanders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Highlands Latin saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Hamilton (Luke), who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. That triple was Hamilton (Luke)'s first of the season.
With the victory, Trimble County broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-15. As for Highlands Latin, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Trimble County has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Highlands Latin struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
