Soccer Recap: DeSoto Comes Up Short

DeSoto was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Duncanville Panthers and Pantherettes, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 525th, while the Panthers and Pantherettes are ranked 103rd).

DeSoto's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Duncanville, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. DeSoto has already played their next contest (against Horn), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Duncanville will be playing at home against Lancaster at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Duncanville's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Lancaster has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
