Basketball Recap: University Christian Comes Up Short

University Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were outmatched by the Impact Christian Academy Lions and fell 53-17. The Christians were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-4.

It was another big night for Lavin Savage, who almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine rebounds for Impact Christian Academy. That's the most points Savage has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Jalaun Meeks, who posted 12 points in addition to five boards and five steals.

University Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Impact Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

University Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 47-34 loss against Old Plank Christian Academy on the 7th. As for Impact Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-37 defeat against Baker County on the 7th.
