Basketball Recap: Greenview Comes Up Short

Greenview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Illini Central Cougars, falling 64-29. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-10.

Greenview's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Illini Central, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-4.

Greenview won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Illini Bluffs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Illini Bluffs will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Greenview surely won't give up without a fight. As for Illini Central, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll square off against Midwest Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Illini Central knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Midwest Central likes a good challenge.
