Basketball Recap: Sherman Comes Up Short

Sherman lost against Clymer Central back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Sherman Wildcats opened the new year with a less-than-successful 40-31 defeat to the Clymer Central Pirates.

Clymer Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kameron Einink led the charge by going 5 for 12 on his way to 12 points. Einink has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Landon Johnson was another key player, putting up six points and seven rebounds.

Sherman's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-2. As for Clymer Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Panama the next time they take the court. Clymer Central will head out to face Panama at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Sherman will host them at 7:30 p.m. on January 13th.
