Baseball Recap: Moundridge Victorious

It may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Moundridge ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They skirted past the Hillsboro Trojans 8-6.

Moundridge now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Hillsboro, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Moundridge is taking a road trip to square off against Inman on Friday. The Inman Teutons' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Wildcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Hillsboro, they will host Smoky Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans are facing the Vikings at the right time seeing as the Vikings are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
