Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Frederick). They put the hurt on the Fort Lupton Bluedevils with a sharp 22-2 victory on Saturday. With that win, the Golden Eagles brought their scoring average up to 7.2 runs per game.
Nate Rapp made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Frederick is 4-1 when Rapp posts two or more runs, but 3-6 otherwise.
