On Thursday Lexann Maldonado almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 12 rebounds. The performance marked the most points Maldonado has had since back in November of 2024. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. On the year, she has averaged 5.3 points, 2 steals, and 1 blocks.

Maldonado and Cross will face off against Thomas Heyward Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Stingrays got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Rebels, probably because Maldonado had a solid game then too: she posted no points along with nine boards, five assists, and three steals.
