Basketball Game Preview: Stockton Tigers vs. Adrian Blackhawks

The Stockton Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the Adrian Blackhawks at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.

Stockton is headed into Friday's contest hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight losses. They fell 61-49 to Lamar on Tuesday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Stockton came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 117th, while Lamar is ranked 399th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Adrian). They came out on top against Versailles by a score of 73-65 on Tuesday.

Adrian's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Stockton, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-4.

Stockton lost to Adrian on the road by a decisive 77-60 margin in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Stockton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
