Soccer Recap: Hollywood Hills Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Hollywood Hills can now relate to. They came up short against the Archbishop McCarthy Mavericks on Wednesday, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 460th, while the Mavericks are ranked 171st).

Hollywood Hills now has a losing record at 6-7-3. As for Archbishop McCarthy, their win bumped their record up to 4-6-3.

Hollywood Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Archbishop McCarthy, they will face off against Pembroke Pines Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Pembroke Pines Charter will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something Archbishop McCarthy surely won't give up without a fight.
