Baseball Recap: Granite Bay Comes Up Short

Granite Bay managed to slip by Jesuit the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Grizzlies came up short against the Marauders on Monday, falling 9-2. The Grizzlies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Marauders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Granite Bay saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brenden Pops, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Granite Bay's defeat dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Jesuit, their win bumped their record up to 17-9.

While Granite Bay had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
