Charleroi came out on top against Brownsville on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run second inning. The Cougars blew past the Falcons 9-1. Considering the Cougars have won five matches by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory was the third in a row for Charleroi, bringing their record up to 9-5. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Brownsville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Charleroi didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Waynesburg Central on the 5th. As for Brownsville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 6-3 loss against California on the 1st.
