Soccer Recap: Winnebago Takes a Loss

Winnebago managed to keep up with Genoa-Kingston until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Indians lost 4-0 to the Cogs. Having soared to a lofty six goals in the game before, Winnebago's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Winnebago has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Genoa-Kingston, the victory was the 16th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winnebago will venture away from home to face off against Sycamore at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Genoa-Kingston, they will take on Hinckley-Big Rock at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
