Football Recap: Hartfield Academy Falls to Columbia in First Game of Season

Hartfield Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were just a hair shy of victory on Friday and fell 22-21 to the Columbia Wildcats.

Despite the loss, Hartfield Academy still got an impressive performance from Ethan Elliott, who threw for 210 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 63 yards on only seven carries.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hartfield Academy will challenge Madison-Ridgeland Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Columbia, they will face off against West Marion at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
