Volleyball Recap: Ritenour Huskies vs. Hazelwood West Wildcats
Ritenour was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hazelwood West Wildcats. The Huskies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.
Ritenour actually scored more points across those four sets (93-89), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-22, 14-25, 25-23.
D'Asiah Whitt paced Ritenour's offense, picking up 12 kills. Whitt got some help from Alison Killion and her 23 assists. Killion was also solid from the service line: she led the team with nine aces.
Ritenour's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Hazelwood West, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-10.
Ritenour didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against University City on the 1st. Hazelwood West has also already played their next match (against Rosati-Kain), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
