James Kenan had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They really took it to the Southern Wayne Saints for the full four quarters, racking up a 56-3 win. With the Tigers ahead 42-0 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Eli Avent threw for 61 yards and one TD. Christopher (CJ) Hill was his top target, picking up 32 receiving yards. On the ground, Jeremiah Hall rushed for 97 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. James Kenan will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Southern Nash at 7:00 p.m. on September 5. As for Southern Wayne, they will square off against Spring Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
