Volleyball Game Preview: New Trier Trevians vs. Libertyville Wildcats

The New Trier Trevians will square off against the Libertyville Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as New Trier comes in on five and Libertyville on seven.

New Trier is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They won by a set and slipped past Lake Zurich 2-1.

Meanwhile, Libertyville faced Barrington in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Wildcats walked away with a 2-0 win over the Fillies/Broncos.

Libertyville not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Barrington to exactly 19 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-19.

Libertyville's victory bumped their record up to 31-4. As for New Trier, their win bumped their record up to 26-10.

New Trier beat Libertyville 2-0 in their previous meeting back in May. Do the Trevians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
