La Porte typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Friendswood proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 61-49 victory over the La Porte Bulldogs. The win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won six in a row.

Trent Callies and Phillip Ned certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Callies posted 23 points, while Ned had 14 points. Callies' evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points.

Friendswood's victory bumped their record up to 27-5. As for La Porte, their loss dropped their record down to 21-11.

Friendswood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for La Porte, they are taking a road trip to square off against Texas City at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. La Porte is facing Texas City at the right time seeing as Texas City is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
