Softball Recap: Eisenhower Comes Up Short

Eisenhower fell victim to Spring and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Lions, falling 16-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-1 back in March.

This is the second loss in a row for Eisenhower and nudges their season record down to 13-10. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 17-11 MacArthur (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 59.9% over those games). As for Spring, they pushed their record up to 13-9 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Eisenhower is set to square off against their familiar foe Dekaney at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Spring will take on rival MacArthur at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
