Softball Recap: Forrest Extends Winning Streak to Three

Forrest lost to Summit last Friday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Rockets won by a run and slipped past the Spartans 7-6. That's two games straight that the Rockets have won by just one run.

The victory was the third in a row for Forrest, bringing their record up to 10-6. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Summit, they moved to 16-10 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Forrest didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 7-2 loss against Dickson County on the 12th. As for Summit, they will challenge Mount Juliet at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
