Baseball Recap: Red Oak Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Red Oak challenged Treynor on Tuesday. The Tigers came up short against the Cardinals, falling 8-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Tigers have suffered since June 25th.

Red Oak has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-17 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.2 runs over those games. As for Treynor, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-11.

Red Oak does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Treynor, they will square off against Underwood on Saturday. The last three games the Eagles have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
