Baseball Game Preview: Hayes Pacers vs. Hilliard Davidson Wildcats

The Hayes Pacers will venture away from home to face off against the Hilliard Davidson Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last four games Hayes has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Hayes' offense. They fell just short of Newark by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. The Pacers haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Hilliard Davidson took on Pickerington North on Friday. The Wildcats came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 6-3.

The team relied heavily on Julio Goyo, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Johnny DiBlasio was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Hilliard Davidson lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Hilliard Davidson's record now sits at 11-13. As for Hayes, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-13.

Hayes couldn't quite get it done against Hilliard Davidson in their previous matchup back in March of 2016 as they fell 6-1. Can the Pacers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
