University and Ferris are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2018, but not for long. The Titans will challenge the Saxons at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

On Tuesday, University came up short against Mead and fell 3-1.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Mead scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-19, 20-25, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Ferris also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Shadle Park by a score of 3-1.

While Ferris had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 19-25, 25-21, 25-21.

Ferris' defeat dropped their record down to 3-7-1. As for University, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.

Everything went University's way against Ferris in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as University made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Titans since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
