Baseball Recap: Pen Argyl Takes a Loss

If Pen Argyl was riding high fresh off their 13-7 takedown of Notre Dame-Green Pond on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Green Knights came up short against the Southern Lehigh Spartans on Saturday, falling 16-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Green Knights in their meetings with the Spartans: they've now lost nine in a row.

Pen Argyl's loss dropped their record down to 10-7-1. As for Southern Lehigh, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Pen Argyl will challenge rival Bangor at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Southern Lehigh is set to square off against their familiar foe Catasauqua at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
